Steel 10 speed, New Paint, Modern Additions (Preston) $120

Up for sale is one steel ten speed bike. 52cm seat tube, 55cm top tube. Riders between 5'3" and 5'9" are suited for this bike. It has been completely stripped down to the frame, then modernized with braze-ons for brake and shift cables-eliminating the original setup which just had cable housing running the full length from control to brake/derailleur. Also, this frame originally had the cheap stamped dropouts which worked loose-this one hadn't, but I brazed the dropouts properly into the frame-so now they never will come loose. This also has the effect of greatly stiffening the rear end of the bike-it feels much better under power.

The bike was then primed and painted black. Hubs, headset and bottom bracket overhauled, wheels tensioned and trued, all new cables, housings and pads, newer tires, shiny chrome-it's ready to ride!

Lots of room for racks and fenders, would make a great commuter bike. It needs nothing but a happy rider :-)

RD-7970 Dura-Ace Di2 Rear Derailleur
Like the 7900 mechanical derailleur, the 7970 has a new carbon fiber rear pulley cage and the new design is compatible with wider range cogsets, accommodating up to a 27 tooth cog. The differences are the fact that the unit is now driven by a servo motor instead of a cable and spring, so shifts are identical and precise every time as the computer control unit analyzes each shift.

The derailleur has a built in mechanism that will allow the body to move inward under impact to reduce the potential for damage in the case of a crash. Cycling through the shifting a couple of times allows the shifter and rear derailleur to automatically re-synchronize.

Yakima bike racks came out with a product very similar this year at $139, and Thule is yet to have a fork mount bike rack that fits factory crossbars.

Im selling a used set of Shimano disc brakes (BR-M475) a couple of years old. They come with the Shimano Deore levers I was using them with, the frame and fork adapter (IS mount I believe) and the cables and housing (cant guarentee it will fit). If you want rotors, I have a shimano 8" centerloc, hayes 8" 6 bolt and a avid 6 bolt roundagon that are all slightly used that I will sell for $5 each. The brake pads look to be about 50% worn.
