<title><![CDATA[Come for the horses.  Stay for the people! (Woodinville, WA)]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<p>Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center, located in Woodinville, WA, works to improve the bodies, minds and spirits of children and adults with disabilities through equine-assisted therapy.  Each week, 300 + volunteers, 19 horses, 9 instructors and 3 therapists team to provide therapeutic riding and equine-assisted therapy to over 250 riders.  </p><p>

Little Bit is currently seeking new volunteers who desire to make a difference in the life of a person with a disability.  Class volunteers prepare horses before each class and therapy session, lead or walk beside the horses during class, and support the rider throughout their lesson.  We operate 7 days a week, from roughly 8am to 8pm, so there is a time that will fit your schedule! </p><p>

While we love “horsey” new volunteers, no horse experience is necessary.  We do ask that volunteers are at least 14 years old and commit to volunteering 2 hours each week for the length of the 8-12 week quarter.  New volunteers must attend two training sessions, regardless of previous horse experience.  &lt;/p<p>

<description><![CDATA[The VA is currently recruiting veteran and non-veteran patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) (relapsing remitting or secondary progressive types only) for a cognition study.  We are evaluating the effectiveness of an herbal supplement, Ginkgo bilboa, on cognitive impairment.<br>
<br>
We are looking for people between 18-60 years old who are native English speakers, have not used Ginkgo bilboa for the past 30 days, and who have no significant medical problems.  You cannot have had a MS relapse within 6 months of entering the program.  Participants will need to be willing to come to the Seattle VA three times for assessments during the 6 months of the study. <br>
