Basically, I'm moving back to Seattle, after a year-ish in exile (aka, Eastern Washington), and having experienced an AMAZING roommating experience the last time I lived in Seattle, I'm looking for something similar. Given, I was friends with the people I lived with previously, but now they're taken (i.e., they found other roommates when I moved away), so I'm turning to Craigslist to (fingers crossed) find someone else who's just as cool.

Me? Well, I'm 24, female, and a full-time grad. student doing my masters degree online (yes, from a REAL university). I'm uber laid back (and I say, "uber"); I'm not a clean freak, but I appreciate clean bathrooms/kitchens. I don't smoke or do drugs, so I expect my roommate(s) to be similarly inclined. I do drink, though, and like the occasional party. Still, like I said, I'm a full-time student, so I really prefer quiet during the week, and am looking for someone who, while friendly, doesn't have a dozen friends in and out of the house all the time. Politically, I'm left-leaning, but not exactly passionate about politics. I have a somewhat unhealthy relationship with books/reading, and I'm trying (and currently failing) to be a kick-ass knitter. My music tastes are wide-ranging (seriously, I listen to everything--and fully appreciate people who expose me to GREAT music); I like cooking and good comedy (Seinfeld, anyone?); and, overall, I'm a pretty quiet, sometimes shy, person who's looking for someone I can "click" with...wow, this is starting to sound more and more like a personal's ad. Weird.

Anyway, I'm in love with Cap. Hill and the Central District, and I'm looking for 2 or 3 bedroom to share with 1 or 2 dependable, non-insane, non-partiers. Ugh, I know I sound slightly lame (well, maybe a bit more than "slightly,"), but I'm a little wary about this whole "live with a stranger and hope for the best" situation. So, yeah, if you're a less-than-agreeable roommate (you know who you are!), please move on.

So, anyway, I'm hoping to move in sometime in Jan., but am totally willing to pay rent in Dec. if I find an irresistable roommate and apartment/house combination. My goal is for rent to hit somewhere in the $450-500 each range, hopefully including most utilities, but I could swing a bit more for that.

Um, yeah...not sure how to wrap up my little "Will you live with me," spiel, so I guess I'll end it here. I would hope to get something for 1000 a month. The thing is EVERYONE wants first/last/deposit. I don't quite understand how people are supposed to come up with 3k just to move into a place. And then usually have to pay the rent for their last place of living too. It just seems wrong. Feeler ad to see if anyone has what I would like in a shared rent living arrangement available now or anytime this Fall/Winter. I'm currently in a basement apartment in the Mt. Baker neighborhood and have been at this house for the last 5+ years. Comfortable studio in the heart of Chinatown. Studio is split in 2 sides. One side is the kitchen and bathroom. Kitchen consists of small fridge, microwave and stove top. Bathroom consists of toilet and shower. Other room is the living space. The apartment has 2 doors and 1 window. Window faces into a small area in between buildings. I've found this to be very nice because its always quiet and I can make my apartment dark anytime of day. I have lived here for almost 2 years and like it very much for its efficient European style.
The location is great for getting around. You would be in the free ride area and only 2 blocks from the bus tunnel. You'd be 2 blocks from Uwajimaya Asian grocery, Starbucks coffee and Specialty's sandwiches. There's lots of colorful shops and produce stands all over. There are tons of great resteraunts and bars in the neighborhood and walking distance.
I have one of the bigger apartments in the building. The electric bill is always under $10 and internet is split with a neighbor for $22. As of now water/sewer/garbage is included, but they've been saying that it would change as long as I've lived here.

Some quick interests of mine are printing, reading, and writing. I do own printing equipment, and am planning on getting into publishing sometime within the next few years. I am not, however, bent on finding a place where I can live and work a small print operation. Though, if that is something that may work out, please let me know.

I am a twenty-three year old young man and am a clean and calm individual, and am very capable of interacting with others as well as minding my own business and giving people their own space. I feel that communication and honesty are both very important.

I put "left leaning" in the title because politics - for wish of a better word - is something that I study, the theory, practice and consequences. I am do not have qualms with people who are "a-political", as long as we can get along.

I am not really looking to move into a new place until early next year. As far as space goes I am just wanting to see my options. So I'm looking for a place for my 23 yr old brother and I ,he will be moving out here this month. He will be staying at my current place and we will be moving for December.He is looking to start over, he does have a misdemeanor charge, nothing violent or predatory. That all happened within a bad relationship, so I'd like him to come out here and meet some decent people. My brothers have horrible judgement in women if left on their own. Plus they are in a very small town and the job opportunities suck. Seattle has wayyy more opportunities.

So I will be paying by myself at first and then when he finds a job he will help me obviously. I'd like to be able to have a small dog, I understand there will be a deposit. He is 15 lbs, completely house broken and kind of lazy. He basically eats, sleeps and pottys. He's more of a lapdog. Also he was debarked by a previous owner who didn't want to take the time to train him not to bark incessantly in the proper fashion. He gets along well with cats, dogs, and kids. He is fully vetted and will remain so. I've been waiting to get this little guy for months so I need a place where I can have a small dog.

I'd like to pay no more than $750 a mth and obviously I wouldn't mind if it was less or we could work out a partial trade using my cleaning and organizing skills to keep it at $750.

Oh, and I work a minimum of 6 days a week but I'll be doing 7days a week for a while. ( I make about $600 a week.)So if you get in touch please give me as much information as possible and the best or worst times to contact you.

And I don't have a car so parking isn't a problem but I do need to be close to a bus line.
